The focus of our Risk Management Industry Teams is on validating customer requests from a credit risk perspective, assessing customer creditworthiness, and engaging in professional dialogue with our clients. This is not about sifting through dusty files; rather, it is about working closely with Sales and our clients to develop tailored solutions and, as decision-makers, determining whether and how a client should be financed. Our client portfolio spans companies of all sizes across all industries, from traditional mid-sized businesses to innovative technology firms. We analyze each company's business model within its current market and industry environment, validate its financial figures, and evaluate the future strategy of our clients. Whether shopping at Zalando or traveling on vacation with FlixBus, we support these and many other exciting companies as they navigate a dynamic market environment and their unique challenges. Among our responsibilities are validating customer requests from a credit risk perspective, assessing customer creditworthiness, and maintaining professional discussions with our clients. This is not about reviewing outdated paperwork; instead, it is about collaborating closely with Sales and our clients to develop tailored financing solutions.

What you'll be doing

You will get a first insight into the process structure of credit analysis ranging from the data mining to decision making, as well as a comprehensive overview of the operational credit risk areas of our bank. Specifically, the following tasks and topics await you with us: 
 - Supporting the business manager and different teams of CRO by the process automation and creation 
 - Project work in the context of current issues / efficiency measures and digitalization (depending on the duration of the internship)
 - Research regarding current trends in business process modeling

What you'll need to succeed

  • You are studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree — ideally in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, IT or a comparable program with a focus on Finance 
  • You are already well advanced in your studies and eager to apply your knowledge in practice 
  • First experience in the banking environment or the financial world is a plus, but not a must 
  • Business process management interest you and you want to dive deeper 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Power BI, Power Automate & Co) and have no hesitation with digital tools 
  • You work in a structured way, think analytically and enjoy contributing your own ideas
  • You are communicative, team-oriented and approach tasks independently
  • English & German both written and spoken

During your internship, you will receive a monthly compensation of EUR 2,400 gross based on full-time employment, which meets at least the applicable statutory minimum wage. This applies regardless of whether the internship is mandatory or voluntary.
