You will work within a mixed technology landscape, combining established enterprise applications running on traditional platforms (on premise/private cloud) with applications, interfaces, and data products progressively modernized and migrated to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In parallel, new components are designed and delivered using modern, cloud native architectures and up to date technologies.

As a Medior IT Business Analyst – Technical, you will operate close to Java development, batch processing, and database analysis, taking an active technical role in the evolution and stability of business critical, data intensive applications. This is not a purely functional business analyst position, but a hands on technical role acting as a bridge between developers, product specialists, and solution architects.

What you'll be doing

Perform technical analysis of Java based backend and batch components to understand execution logic and data dependencies.
Read, understand, and explain Java code (services, batch steps, exception handling, configuration driven logic).
Analyze batch and scheduled processing chains, including dependencies, execution order, rerun logic, and failure scenarios. Work hands on with SQL to analyze, validate and reconcile data produced by applications.
Support investigation of data inconsistencies, incorrect aggregations, performance issues and missing records.
Contribute to root cause analysis by correlating Java logic, SQL results and batch execution evidence.
Support testing activities (SIT/UAT) and regression validation after fixes and releases.
Maintain technical documentation covering processing flows, batch logic, input/output datasets and key SQL queries.

Šta će Vam biti potrebno za uspeh

Solid experience reading and understanding Java backend and batch code.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (preferably Oracle).
Understanding of batch processing concepts and data intensive workloads.
Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments (logs, execution evidence, files).

Ways of working
Ability to translate business or regulatory needs into clear technical analysis and implementation guidance.
Structured approach to investigations and documentation.
Strong collaboration skills with developers, product specialists and architects.

Nice to have
Exposure to PL/SQL.
First experience debugging Java applications.
Interest in data warehousing, analytics platforms or cloud environments
