Client Solutions serves all our regions and is comprised of three excellent product factories: Corporate Solutions delivers tailored solutions in advisory, financing, risk management, trade and working capital for our corporate clients; Individual Solutions ensures a rich offering of investment and protection products for individuals; whilst Group Payments Solutions supports corporates, financial institutions, and individual customers in all their payments and liquidity management needs.
 
Within UniCredit’s Corporate Solutions platform, Advisory & Financing Solutions provide comprehensive support to corporate clients across strategic and financial needs. This includes tailored advice on M&A, capital structure optimization, and strategic transactions, as well as customized financing solutions such as syndicated loans, leveraged finance, and structured lending.
 
As part of Sectors and M&A Advisory you will be involved in strategic M&A projects across all deal phases on both buy-side and sell-side processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with Equity and Debt Capital Markets teams in the context of public and private equity offerings and debt financing, supporting origination and execution capabilities across the full product suite.

What you'll be doing

  • Work within a leading financial advisory practice offering a full range of investment banking services
  • Join a dynamic team involved in the origination and execution of M&A transactions
  • Be part of the junior pool with exposure to UniCredit’s sector teams (CHR, Industrials, TMT, NRUI)
  • Support active deal execution and contribute to the development of client pitches
  • Conduct financial and operational benchmarking through analysis of company reports
  • Gain a strong understanding of business model evaluation and competitive benchmarking
  • Conduct company valuations using trading and transaction comparables, and create financial models
  • Utilize equity research and data-driven insights to support idea generation, company profiling, and valuation strategies
  • Learn from transactions and senior bankers, making meaningful contributions to advisory projects

You also match with the following requirements:
 
  • You are in the final stages of your master's degree in business administration, finance or economics with good/very good academic results (MBA, CFA is a plus), or have completed your studies within the last 2 years.
  • Prior experience in investment banking and/or consulting, ideally in M&A or alternatively in ECM / Structured / Leveraged / Project Finance
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, paired with a fast-learning ability
  • Solid understanding of valuation techniques, including DCF and multiples-based approaches
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of sub-sectors and businesses
  • Knowledge of Refinitiv / Bloomberg / S&P CapitalIQ / FactSet / Mergermarket / et al.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (esp. Excel)
  • Special knowledge and reliability according to § 87 (2) WpHG (2. FiMANoG) and § 1a and § 6 WpHGMaAnzV
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and deliver on-time & on-quality
  • Confident and assertive conduct vis-à-vis clients & partners
  • Hard-working and motivated to "make a difference"
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Fluent English and German skills

In the UniCredit Graduate Program Client Solutions, you can expect an attractive fixed annual base salary from €65286 gross, based on full-time employment and aligned with your academic degree.

Your remuneration is determined in accordance with the provisions of the applicable collective salary agreement for the private banking sector and is based on the following grading:

Bachelor’s degree: pay group 7/11th professional year
Master’s degree: pay group 8/11th professional year
Doctoral degree (PhD): pay group 9/11th professional year

The target salary consists of two components: the annual base salary (as outlined above), paid in 13 monthly installments, and a variable bonus payment. The variable bonus payment is based on one monthly gross base salary and will be adjusted by the company’s success and your individual performance contribution.
